Located in a serene setting not far from beautiful Savannah, Georgia, Willingway Hospital’s program began informally in 1966 when Dr. John Mooney and Dot Mooney began helping alcoholics in their home. In 1971, the 40-bed, all private-room hospital was built, establishing Willingway as the first hospital in Georgia to specialize in the treatment of alcoholism and drug dependency. Over the last 35 years, Willingway has treated over 20,000 patients and family members, becoming one of the premier alcoholism and drug dependency treatment facilities in the nation. A highly qualified and dedicated staff is available around the clock. Individual treatment plans are tailored to reflect the needs and goals of each patient. Private rooms provide opportunities for writing assignments and privacy for our unique family program. A full continuum of care is offered - including detoxification, inpatient/residential, outpatient and extended care for both men and women. |
