What to Bring for Your Stay

We have had 45 years of experience to learn what works and what does not work in a treatment setting. Patients who really want to get their lives back will spend their time in treatment focusing on recovery from their alcohol or drug addiction. Freedom from distractions during this initial period can mean freedom for the rest of a patient's life. Why do we not allow cell phones or computers during rehab? We want patients to focus on themselves. It is a valuable opportunity for patients and families to step back and look at the bigger picture of their relationships without the distraction of day to day (or minute to minute!) contact. We do encourage letter writing and thoughtful communication during treatment.
